Spring Showers

March 30, 2008

The Weather Man Said There Was a Chance for Spring Showers

Whenever I hear the words spring showers I start thinking about camping and the different things I need to start doing to get ready for the upcoming camping season.

One of the first things that I was going to do is pull the motor home out into the yard and give it a good washing and then start going through the inside making sure that everything made it through the winter intact.

Much to my surprise when I woke up Saturday morning, instead of seeing spring showers, I was looking at snow showers. That’s right, snow showers.

That kind of put a little damper on washing the motor home as my neighbors would probably think I was crazy if they saw me washing my motor home in the snow.

The weather man said that it would warm up by Sunday and I figured that I could wait until then to wash the motor home. For those of you that live in Washington State you know that when the weather man says it’s going to be sunny and 60, you better make sure you have a rain coat handy. ;-)

Well, Sunday morning came and guess what? Yes, it was snowing again.

I’ve been living in the Pacific Northwest now for 35 years and this is the first time that I have seen it snow in the spring.

Well, I guess I will have to wait until next week and see if mother nature can figure out what time of year it really is.

Happy Camping :-)
